A netizen shared how he was forced to sell his car by his wife who threatened to divorce him, then went overseas with her friends to go shopping with the money.
Here is the story:
“I am a married man with 2 kids.
I used to drive a BMW 5 Series but then I was forced to sell my car because my wife wanted to go shopping.
I had lost my job and my wife wasn’t working, and she found out that I was sleeping with another woman and used that to threaten me.
I asked her why should I sell my car and she threatened to divorce me and take away my children, and so I was at her mercy.
It took me a while to sell my car and she took about $60k for herself, she then travelled to Europe for a holiday with her friends.
After selling my car, I had a job interview in the east side of Singapore near Changi and eventually got the job.
I live in Jurong so selling my car made life very difficult for me as I had to travel between Jurong and Changi to and from work.
Plus my wife was gone for about 2 months and I had to juggle working and sending/picking up my kids to and from school.
Eventually it felt like she made me sell my car for nothing, she scammed me into selling my car for the money because in the end she still filed for a divorce and we are now fighting for the custody of our children.
I’m at my wits end, this woman is vile.”
