A woman was previously knocked onto the ground by a wild boar at Yishun on 9 March.
NParks said that the wild boar responsible for the incident has since been caught on 20 March and has been “euthanised humanely”, according to Today.
Nee Soon GRC MP Faishal Ibrahim also said in an announcement on Facebook yesterday that the wild boar was successfully trapped on 20 March.
Here is his statement
I am happy to update that Yishun Park has been reopened and residents are able to visit the park again. NParks officers trapped the wild boar on 20 March and are working to remove all the hoardings from the park.
NParks officers have been tracking the wild boar in the past week. They had put up the hoarding to ensure public safety and to contain the wild boar.
I would like to thank the residents for your understanding during this period, as well as NParks, and the Town Council for their hard work.
I am also glad to hear that the residents who had encountered the wild boar are recovering well.
