WITH LACK OF ENGINEERS IN SG MARKET WHY DOESN’T OUR WAGES REFLECT IT?:ENGINEERING GRADUATE

With all the rants from salaries and CAP seemingly coming from biz students, i would like to share the plight of the engineering cohort myself: In engineer, a “good salary” is anything above $3.8k, which would demand at least a 2nd upper before you can nab something like that. My few biz friends on the other hand just turn up their noses at anything that “is less than $4k”

But no, this entitled behaviour of biz students is not what pisses me off; what really makes me furious is how our government is constantly telling Singaporeans to take up STEM degrees and that “we lack engineers”. If there is really a lack of engineers (demand > supply), why don’t our wages reflect this??
