A 38-year-old woman allegedly threatened to spread intimate photos and videos of a man to his girlfriend and his mother.
She was charged with threatening to distribute intimate images and video of a 32-year-old man and returned to court on 10 December.
The identities of the parties involved cannot be disclosed due to a gag order.
What happened?
The woman sent the man a message on WhatsApp on 23 June this year at around 12.25am, she allegedly told the man: “Stop lying, still want to play tricks with me until now… even don’t want to transfer when agree. I will show your girlfriend and your mother all your … pics and video that we used to take.”
The woman is also facing two other charges for Covid-related offences and her case has been adjourned to January.
If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to 5 years as well as a fine.
