A woman shared her bad experience at a Sheng Siong outlet located in Punggol Central after she was almost charged 4 times more for fish due to the mistake of the staff.
Here is the story:
I have just visited Sheng Siong at blk 301 punggol .We got one black pomfret and went to the fish section to weigh saw from the machine is $4.92 and got them clean up for me. Then I collected and overheard the guy say “wow 黑仓”
I proceed with my shopping. As my husband wanna check the price of the fish he took up the plastic and we had a shock.. that small piece of fish cost me $16.22 (Note 1kg is about 14.99)
I went back to the section and query that the fish cannot be more than 1kg. when that guy saw me immediately in split second he took up another price tag,he didn’t even weigh it and he pasted the tag (4.92) over the original tag which they tag on the plastic I know the customer should have checked the price tag when collecting the fish.. but so does the man.
If he has doubt with the tag he could have check too. And if we didn’t check can u imagine how to overcharge we were. This is so disappointing. I think I should bring awareness to consumers. And I’m glad I did check before going home else I have to make another trip. Please do check whenever we buy anything. ..记得一定要检查价格还有收据不要无辜被坑
