GF is mad I want to start using rubber, says I don’t trust her natural method of B/C (rhythm method)
For the year & a half we’ve been together my girlfriend & I have never used any sorts of protection that one can imagined. I am constantly paranoid we are going to get too quickly and end up as a father and mother, so much that anytime she says she’s not feeling good I immediately think, welp this is it.
I communicated that I want to start wearing. I realize how dumb I’ve been participating in not wearing protection & want to correct this behavior.
Girlfriend is mad at me because she says I don’t trust her ability to monitor her menstrual cycle (rhythm method) & that is her preferred choice of B/C.
I don’t really know how to go about this. This has been a wonderful relationship that I’d like to stay in. But I’m close to losing my cool & telling her pulling out & the rhythm method is a crap method of B/C, that I deserve to feel safe in the bedroom.
I’m not asking her to go on a BC that will mess with her hormones. Just that I want to start wearing condoms. Is this a major red flag where I should rethink my future with this person?
