A 28-year-old Malaysian woman blackmailed her ex-boyfriend of over $10k with n*de photos of him taken while they were still dating.
She also threatened to make a police report against him for molest in order to extort money from him.
She was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment on 19 October.
What happened?
The two started dating in 2017 and the woman claimed that the victim cheated on her before their broke up in August a year later.
She then repeatedly texted him demanding payments for her monthly rent and medical fees as compensation.
She threatened to lodge a police report accusing him of molest if he refused.
The victim then agreed because he was scared, continuing to pay her until he couldn’t keep up with the payments.
Between August 2018 to July 2019, he had transferred a total of $10,720 to her.
The woman got angry when he couldn’t pay anymore and threatened to spread his n*des that she took while they were still together.
The man then reported it to the police on 8 July, 2020.
