Facebook user Nani Lingling shared that she bought a bowl of minced meat noodles for $4 and received a portion that was so small, she initially thought she was served leftovers.
She added that her primary 3 daughter, was still hungry after finishing the bowl of noodles, and accused the hawker of cheating their customers.
Here is what she said
For once, I actually thought he gave me a bowl of leftover from other customer.
Even my primary 3 girl still hungry after this bowl. People eat to live, not for experience. The stall vendor cant afford to give a portion as advertised, that is cheating to me.
Can i ask anyone are the consumer protected against these incessant unfair practices under consumer protection act?
$4 for this bowl without soup, I dont know whether its cheap, expensive or justified.

- I always feel there’s no good hawker food in punggol and this look absolutely ridiculous.
- Some hawkers give so little portion of noodles expecting u to ask for extra then they will charge 50c more
- Sorry. $4 no soup, noodles and meat considered super less. I would not patronize. Understand the stall needs to cover rental fee and a lot of effort goes into the soup. But maybe other stalls face the same problem but somehow they still can provide free soup and bigger portion and they have been operating for a very long time, not even affected by covid
Point is if you rly want to open a business you need to think for customers pov, not just your own pov. - I bought $4 as well as $6 upsize one. The portion is the same. What a joke and I cannot accept there is no soup unless we order the $8 signature one. Will never patron the stall again. Go to Punggol waterway point better. Cheaper and there are two BCM selection and with Aircon.
