A woman shared how she bought a cup of caramel milk tea from Cup Walker at their Sengkang Square outlet on 16 December.
She took a couple of sips from her drink before feeling something that didn’t seem like pearls inside her mouth.
She had apparently thought that it was a strand of hair, so she spat out whatever was inside her mouth and she was horrified to see a small centipede.
The woman then called the shop to tell them what happened, and the staff there apologised and offered her a new drink, which the woman understandably declined.
The staff member reasoned that they probably did not spot the inside as it was too small.
The Singapore Food Agency has also been notified by the woman about the incident, as she expressed being traumatised and disgusted by what happened.
