A Facebook user shared a photo of a packet of Char Siew rice that she bought from a hawker stall at Bukit Gombak.
She captioned his photo: “I don’t even convince myself why I should even give a one start for the rating, it should be zero star.”
She had apparently bought 19 packets of the Char Siew rice for $5 each, from a Hua Zai Gombak Food Pte Ltd stall at 347 Bukit Batok Street 34.
She said that “their char siew is like so little, five pieces per packet, plus one egg. I asked for a $5 portion and he tricked me, giving me a $4.20 portion”.
The customer then confronted the hawker and asked him if there was a misunderstanding with the order, to which the hawker admitted his mistake and returned the woman her money.
She added “it’s wrong to deceive customers, please be careful when you go to this stall.”
