A woman in Indonesia chopped off her boyfriend’s genitals after he threatened her with a video of them engaging in intercourse, according to Indonesian news outlet Pikiran Rakyat.
The incident took place in Sibolga, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
The 28-year-old victim, identified as “GO”, had checked into a hotel room with the 28-year-old woman, identified as “AST”, on the evening of 25 February.
The police chief of Sibolga, AKBP Taryono Raharja, said that the man had demanded to have intercourse with the woman, who rejected him because she was upset with something that he said earlier.
The couple had met up in Padangsidimpuan to head to Sibolga together, arriving at the hotel where GO tried to get AST to sleep with him but failed.
He then threatened to spread a video of them having intercourse that he had filmed previously, which angered the woman and she then grabbed a knife and chopped off the man’s genitals.
The hotel receptionist, Evi Wahyuni Siregar, shared that the woman later approached him for help and asked for medical assistance for her partner, who was bleeding out.
Evi then called the police and officers found the man lying on the bed with his blood all over the floor, and the woman was also in the room at the time.
She was subsequently arrested while the man was sent to the RS Metta Medika hospital in Sibolga for emergency treatment.
The woman has not been charged by the police yet, as they are waiting for the man to recover and interview him first.
