A video emerged online showing a group of women confronting another woman who allegedly stole money from a shop in Geylang.

The women from the shop, who are presumably Vietnamese (based on their accents, unconfirmed), were seen in the video trying to get the alleged thief to return the stolen money.

One of the women who was filming the incident, was seen recording the cash register inside the shop being half-opened.

She then returned to the shop entrance to film the other woman, saying “this one, take money!”

Another woman was seen holding onto the hand of the alleged thief and kept repeating “return now, return now!”

The alleged thief then eventually handed them some money from her back pocket, and a tussle soon occurred with the woman refusing to let go of her hands.

Potential penalties
