A 36 year old woman, Ms Lin, made a police report after she could not cast her vote on polling day.

When she tried to scan her NRIC to cast her vote on polling day, the system allegedly indicated that she had already casted her vote. Staff at the polling station tried to input her NRIC manually but it still failed which then raised suspicion that someone had used her NRIC to vote.
Ms Lin stated that she did not cast her vote earlier in the day and she suspect that it was just a system malfunction. She called the Election Department and she was advised to make a police report which she did.
