A woman has shared her story about being embarrassed for her husband to drive her around in a rental blue electric car.
According to her, by driving the rental car, it is a sign of telling people that you couldn’t afford a proper car. She even feels like people on the road are laughing at them seeing them as a laughing stock on the road.

“Its just plain sia suay to be seen in a blue electric car. Embarrassing to the max. I would rather be seen in a taxi, grab or even bus, MRT. Because by driving that blue car, you are telling everybody that you cannot afford a proper car, that’s why need to rent this type.
Recently, hubby calculated that renting that car is even cheaper than both of us taking public transport when we go visit our parents every week.
It’s like so embarrassing, some more the logo is so obvious no one won’t be able to see that its a rental car. And a very cheap rental car. And the space inside is pathetic, so smallish! I imagine next time if have children how are we gonna put the barang barang, car seat, pram all inside? Only hubby thinks its cool. I think we are literally a laughing stock on the road.”
