According to local police, officers received an emergency report at around 5:30am alerting them to the incident. Responding officers arrived at a hotel located in the Taman Maju Jaya area of Johor Bahru, where they found the victim inside one of the rooms. The woman had sustained multiple injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon.

Initial investigations indicate the fatal attack likely took place sometime between 1:30am and 4:30am. The area where the hotel is located sits only a short drive away from the busy shopping district near KSL City Mall, an area known for its nightlife and frequent visitors from neighbouring Singapore.

Police Reveal Details Of Brutal Attack

Investigators later revealed disturbing details about the injuries sustained by the victim. Authorities said the woman had suffered a total of 14 stab wounds across different parts of her body. Eleven of the wounds were located on her chest, while another injury was found on her neck.

Additional wounds were discovered on her right index finger and right arm. Police believe these injuries could indicate that the victim attempted to defend herself during the violent struggle before she succumbed to the attack.

Law enforcement officials have not yet recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the killing. Investigators are continuing to search the surrounding area and review any available evidence that may help track down the suspect responsible for the brutal act.

Suspect Believed To Have Fled After Killing

Authorities have indicated that both the victim and the suspected attacker are believed to be foreigners. Early findings suggest the woman may have been working as a sex worker prior to the incident, although investigators are still verifying details about her identity and background.

Police believe the suspected attacker fled the hotel shortly after the fatal assault. At this stage, investigators have not publicly identified the suspect or confirmed whether any witnesses saw the individual leaving the scene.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of Malaysia’s Penal Code, which covers murder offences. If convicted, the perpetrator could face extremely severe penalties, including the death penalty or a lengthy prison sentence ranging from 30 to 40 years. The law also allows for corporal punishment of at least 12 strokes of the cane.

Authorities have stated that the motive behind the killing remains unclear. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and appeal for any information that could help identify and locate the suspect responsible for the deadly attack.
