After being rescued, the woman continued to struggle and even tried to jump back into the river, before being held down and restrained by 4 police officers.

She was later handcuffed and brought into a police car.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed that the incident happened on 28 February at about 7.20am, and the woman was arrested under the Mental Health Act.
