The SCDF Facebook recently posted pictures of a high rise rescue operation after a lady was found injured on a ledge at Ang Mo Kio.
Here is the full story.
On 26 March 2021 at about 5.20pm, SCDF received a call for assistance at Blk 447 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10.

Upon SCDF’s arrival, a woman was seen lying face up on a ledge outside the kitchen of a second floor unit. Firefighters from Ang Mo Kio Fire Station immediately deployed a ladder to gain access to the ledge. SCDF’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) crew assessed that the woman had sustained injuries to her head, arms and legs.

Firefighters and rescuers from the elite Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) proceeded to carefully secure the woman onto a stretcher, and rescued her safely off the ledge with a hoisting system. The operation required the officers to coordinate the rescue efforts across three floors while working delicately within the narrow confines of the ledge.
The woman was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in an SCDF ambulance.
