Facebook user Andrea Wong shared her negative experience after getting scammed when trying to purchase an IPAD. Here is her full story.

Dear fellow Singaporeans,

This is a scam currently happening in Singapore and I fell for it. I would like to get the word out so that you would not fall prey to scams like these.

Most scammers currently tend to impersonate various individuals. The pictures that the seller sent to me for which he claimed to be the filipino is probably fake. One reason is because the filipino’s employment work pass employer is different from the company i bought the ipad from. The company is probably fake too and is set up to convince individuals as well.

They tend to create an urgency when you make payment and constantly lie. Please ensure that you make transactions either in real life, or through platforms.

I have already reported this issue to the police and called the banks.
