A lady shared a story of how she suffered a panic attack while out on a date after not going for one for the longest time.
This was because she was a single mother and was working a pandemic job and therefore spent most of her time and work or taking care of her child.
She added that she did not feel like this before and her date for that day had wasted $200 on dinner and movie for nothing much.
Here is the story
“This actually happened previously while I was trying to go on a date.
As the parent of an infant during a pandemic, you can imagine I don’t get much time away.
Between working in a relatively demanding role and being the primary caregiver to our son, I needed a date night.
Baby went to stay with his grandparents for the first time overnight and we purchased tickets to a movie and went to have dinner.
After dinner, we went to catch a movie in town.
Approximately 30 seconds after the lights dimmed in the cinema venue and the music started playing, I felt DOOM. My vision got blurry and I legitimately thought I was going to collapse out of my chair.
I motioned to my boyfriend to come with me quickly and we walked out of the theater.
I stumbled beside him because everything was blurry and I could barely breathe.
Once I was able to sit outside of the cinema for a few minutes, I realised I was experiencing a full blown panic attack.
We thought of going back in to try and enjoy the show, but as soon as the music started again, my panic ramped up.
We had to leave the venue after less than 5 minutes after spending over $200 for a night out.”
