WOMAN ILLEGALLY REPACKED FOOD PRODUCTS FOR BUSINESS, FINED

Junainah Ahmad, the sole proprietor of Qiksmart, an online grocery delivery company, reportedly repacked food products in an unlicensed property illegally.

About 265kg of the repackled food products small containers with Qiksmart’s label, were seized from a unit at Block 10, Ubi Crescent.

Ahmad was fined $1,000 for her troubles.

SFA said in a media release that “Repackaging of food products in unlicensed premises poses a food safety risk.”

SFA also added: “In Singapore, all food repacking facilities must be licensed, and are required to meet SFA’s requirements and food safety standards. These licensed premises are also routinely inspected by SFA.
