According to a court hearing (Feb 3), a woman was sentenced to jail after she was caught leaving her home several times for non-essential purposes during the Circuit Breaker.
37-year-old Letchimi was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail after she pleaded guilty to 3 counts of charges under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures Act).

April 2020 to June 1 was Singapore’s Circuit Breaker measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and it was executed to reduce the number of infections in Singapore.
During this period she was caught at least 6 times for breaching safety measures, on each occasion she was caught, she was reminded and warned not to re-offend but persisted.

Letchimi met 4 others at a void deck in Ang Mo Kio for the consumption of alcohol and to chat, members of her group made rude remarks to a woman that was walking past them and the Police were called on them.
May 13
Letchimi and two others were outside her home drinking alcohol and had food in her home, her neighbour contacted the Police as they were blocking the corridor and drinking outside the unit.
May 21
Letchimi joined two others and were drinking and chatting in public in Ang Mo Kio at almost midnight, the Police were called on them.
