A woman shared how her bank account was hacked and she became the victim of unauthorised and fraudulent transactions from her bank account.
She was reportedly left with $7 after the incident.
She first realised something was amiss when she tried to withdraw $50 from an ATM but was denied due to an insufficient balance.
She then discovered that she had a balance of $7.
She then checked her bank transaction history and saw that a total of $182 had been withdrawn by a Paypal user named Soniahernan.
She then called POSB bank to alert them of the unauthorised withdrawals and her debit card was then suspended and replaced.
The bank also reportedly told her that her money would be returned to her within 5 working days and that they would investigate the matter.
She also shared that she couldn’t pay her rent which was due on that day because she was left with $7 in her account.
