Long term boyfriend has a FWB at work
I recently learned that my boyfriend of 6 years has become “friends with benefits” with one of his coworkers. I’m 27, he’s 28 and she can’t be more than 20.
They’ve been sending some naughty photos to one another for the last few weeks.
He sleeps at my house, in my bed, every night, and I get up early to take him to work at 6am where he spends the day hooking up with her on his breaks.
He tells her his brother drops him off, and hasn’t told her anything about me (obviously).
He mentioned her as someone he worked with for the first time a couple days ago, said it was his first time working with her (not true) and that she was a “dumb 20-year-old who he learned he’s gunna stay away from” which he said was because she’s annoying and just gossips all day.
Except he’s also sleeping with her, and he spends all his breaks with her.
This is not the first instance of him being unfaithful or him lying without any sense of remorse. So I mean, the next step is pretty simple.
I think I’m sharing this here because I’ve been experiencing this alone and I needed to get it out, but also because I’ve been with him for so long that it’s so much harder to leave than it sounds like it should be.
Most recently, she sent him photos, from a party she invited him to but he couldn’t make it, of her in a very revealing costume.
They officially became FWB the day after he had a really long week and day so I planned a relaxing evening where I bought him new comfy clothes, his favorite snacks, made him a delicious homemade dinner and put on his favorite movie so us to snuggle up with.
He kept saying “you didn’t have to do this, thank you” and then the next say he was texting her how she was “too hot for her own good” and how he wanted more and more. They exchanged a lot of photos that day.
I don’t know, I guess I just feel stupid for putting so much work into healing from him being unfaithful in the past and doing everything I can to believe him when he tells me I can trust him. Feeling super betrayed and small.
