According to Shin Min Daily News, a 52-year-old housewife surnamed Tan living in Choa Chu Kang was reportedly upset that her neighbours living above her have been making noises at night for more than 20 years, disrupting the sleep of her husband and her.
Tan then made about 100 police reports and also took to submitting complaints to the authorities, but with little success.
She reasoned that her husband works as a warehouse assistant and needs to leave the house at 5am daily, his work will be affected if he doesn’t sleep well.
Tan said that the neighbours leave the water running in the wee hours of the mornings and that the gushing of the water is loud.
She also complained of hearing the sound of a ball being kicked or rope being skipped.
She added that she could also hear chairs being dragged and doors being slammed at night.
Tan shared that she followed the instructions given to her by the authorities to change bedrooms and close her toilet door but found that her issue was still not resolved.
