A Facebook user, Felicity Lim, shared how she ordered a packet of rice online (a 5kg bag of Basmati rice), and after 3 weeks, it still hasn’t arrived.
She said that if her life depended on the packet of rice, she might’ve died from famish long ago.
Here is what she said
If my life depended on this packet of 5kg Basmati rice I might have died from famish long ago.
Made an online order from Singapore Food Shows eshop on 3 May.
The expected delivery time stated on my order confirmation was 2-5 working days. Today is the 24 May, exactly 3 weeks but the rice has still not arrived.
There was no contact number on the website which I could speak to someone urgently to check on the status. I messaged them in the website portal at least twice but there was no reply.
I managed to find out their email address and emailed them on the 10 May.
However no one bothered to even give a courtesy interim reply until 19 May. The person replied she would investigate and arrange for delivery but til today I have not received my item. I highly suspect they must have shipped the rice directly from India by sea.
If you guys have intentions ordering from this website better think twice especially if you need your item urgently. I feel if the item is not readily available, and require a long waiting time like 2-3 weeks, at least have the courtesy to inform the customer. The customer might consider cancelling the order and purchase elsewhere instead of waiting and waiting.
