In the heart of Ang Mo Kio, a Singaporean neighborhood renowned for its community spirit, one resident, Mulyana, recently shed light on an issue that has been a recurring nightmare for her and countless others residing in rental flats.
Her harrowing experience, which she shared on social media, serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by rental flat tenants and the unfortunate behavior they often have to endure from a few inconsiderate individuals.
The Unfortunate Incident
Mulyana’s ordeal began on a seemingly ordinary day as she was returning home with her two young children, including her three-week-old newborn. The incident took place under Block 224, Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, where Mulyana resides.
She usually lowered the stroller’s cover to protect her kids from the harsh sun, as the only sloped pedestrian access to her block lacked shelter.
However, what followed was far from ordinary. Mulyana noticed what appeared to be saliva staining the top of her baby stroller.
In a moment of disbelief and frustration, she took to social media, sharing her experience and expressing her indignation at the irresponsible behavior of a few individuals.
A Cry for Responsibility
In her social media post, Mulyana lamented, “I live in a rental flat but these kinds of people are the ones making those ‘rental flat tenants’ look bad. Bloody hell.”
Mulyana’s anger and fear were palpable as she continued, “It’s already bad enough that it hit the top of the stroller. (Thankful it didn’t hit on my kid or me). But what if I didn’t close the stroller cover? It would have hit my newborn baby!”
Seeking Accountability
Following the incident, Mulyana took swift action, placing her children at the void deck and attempting to identify the culprit.
She noticed beer cans being thrown from above but couldn’t determine the exact floor they originated from. Her resolve was unwavering as she declared, “If I caught you just now, I confirm will confront you.”

Spit your damn saliva down the block elsewhere lah! Don’t even bother to see if there’s people walking down ah?? It’s already bad enough that it hit the top of the stroller. (Thankful it didn’t hit on my kid or me. But what if i didn’t close the stroller cover? It would have hit my newborn baby! Damn u human! U are the kind of people that i just want to *@*$;%%-[×(-,&!!
And as i park my kids under the block for a short while to check out from further distance, i saw beer tins being thrown out as well. But i couldn’t catch from which level as there’s no human visible from where i stand. Damn u. If I caught u just now…, i confirm will confront u. Damnit ah. Spoil my mood ah u!
