What things did your employer didn’t believe you at the interview?
I had a few interviews now where both the recruitment agent and the HR for the company don’t believe that I like retail. Now I get that loads of people hate retail, but for me it keeps me active.
I tried an office job after graduating and the monotony combined with WFH only made my depression worse. I really do like customer service work.
Also, I like shift work cuz that means I have some days where I don’t need to fight with the crowds when shopping but when I mention I like shift work they look at me like I’m crazy?
Shouldn’t you be welcoming me instead cuz not everyone likes it? I don’t get it.
What other stuff did you say that your then prospective employer didn’t believe?

- That I could have three concurrent jobs during the last year of poly because my internship didn’t pay enough.
I think some interviewers are too coddled from the realities of living in Singapore. - pre-offer one company asked me how much my competing offers were for and I told her
she basically said I was lying straight up shrugs - Recruiter didn’t believe I was changing job voluntarily in 2020 she was like now covid how can you want to change job everyone losing their job you should hold on to your job. Don’t tell me seeking better opportunities that’s not a valid reason
