WOMAN SAY LUCKY SHE ‘ABORT’ CAUSE BF IS A FINANCIAL BURDEN & GAMBLING ADDICT

I have previously finally walked out of my relationship of 3 years with a man that had a gambling addiction, financial debts and anger management issues.

However, nearing the end of our relationship, it was a foolish mistake but we ended up being pregnant, and have mutually decided to have an abortion. Thankfully as it was discovered early, there were no surgery to be done, and I have since moved on from the incident.

Neither have I regretted the decision as I knew he was not capable of being a good husband or even a good father. We have also decided to never tell anyone about the incident and move on from it altogether.

At present, I’ve found a partner that have been treating me really well and making me feel genuinely happy. He did not mind any of my past relationships despite him not having any, but I’ve been feeling and worrying about the possibility of having issues conceiving in the future and/or having to tell the doctors, and him eventually, of the abortion. Some part of me know that my partner will love me nonetheless, but I have already previously decided to bury the incident and never have to mention it to anyone ever. Should I be coming clean to my partner about it? Would he be better off not knowing?

It is scary but it is what it is and I wish I have the comfort and courage from all these past trauma.

  • If honesty is required as a big part of your current relationship then please practise it. I don’t think any relationship for the long haul would be able to exclude this as part of the foundation. Lay the cards on the table and let your current partner know. It’s up to him to make the decision to move forward or not. At least you’ve done your part to be honest about your past.
