A netizen shared on Facebook that she received a text message from the number +6590240000 which is allegedly Starhub’s number asking her to update her MyStarHub app.

Suspecting something amiss, she went to the app store only to realise that there is no update button.

She eventually called Starhub Customer Services who told her that the message she received is not sent by Starhub as if it is from Starhub, the sender name will be Starhub and not a +65 number.
