Job Hunt Predication
Recently nailed a Admin job in a healthcare institution. Letter Of Appointment signed and pending Onboarding and medical checkup. Now the issue is the medical checkup. Start work would be in Nov 2023.
I did a Walk In at IMH back due to stress and worries over a perm change in status over a loved one. Back then was having mood swing and difficulties in sleep and required counselling and amid some light medications prescribed by IMH. (Had been discharged almost near 2 years since).
During the checkup, reviewing doctor saw the record and asked slightly on it which I gave him a brief overview. He then asked if I was discharged which I told him had been discharged some time back. So he mentioned he’s not going to asked anything on that and will leave it as it is, and he would review again in Dec if I would face stress/difficulty at work. He gave a paper advice to seek supervisor help. He also mentioned to me this is only an advice and he’s not discriminating me. He then gave me the standard vaccinations required for healthcare employment and too a blood test. BT results would be a week later, to see him again.
So now comes my worries:-
* Would HR stop my commencement based an old IMH record
* Would HR demand me to get IMH to release my records (aka would IMH release patients record for this purpose)
* Would the Doc certified me unfit for employment due to an old IMH record
Would appreciate for any advice, esp if anyone have had a similar experience before.
