A woman was run over by a car while crossing a traffic junction in Taman Jurong, and the impact sent her flying into the air.
The incident happened on the morning of 24 March, and a video of the accident was captured by another motorist that was behind at the time.
The motorist who took the video said that they tried to sound their horn to warn the driver in front about the pedestrian who was crossing, but it was too late.
The incident took place at the traffic junction of Tah Ching Road and Yuan Ching Road at about 7.29 am in the morning.
Two pedestrians were seen in the video crossing the road while the traffic light was flashing the green man in their favour.
A double-decker bus was then seen making a discretionary right turn, coming dangerously close and almost hitting the two pedestrians.
Alas, nothing happened and the pedestrians managed to escape being hit by the bus during the close shave as they had stood still while the bus moved right in front of their faces.
Following that, a silver car then made the same discretionary right turn but was unable to avoid running over one of the pedestrians.
The woman was seen in the video walking forward after the bus had passed, when the car turned right without slowing down and crashed into the woman, sending her flying into the air.
She was seen getting up to her feet moments later and clutching her left leg after.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed the accident that took place on 24 March and said that they were alerted to it at about 7.30 am, involving a car and a pedestrian at the junction of Yuan Ching Road and Tah Ching Road.
The woman was sent to the hospital conscious, and the police and currently investigating the incident.
