Singapore is often associated with the traditional path in life: find a partner, married and have kids. However, not everyone follows this well-trodden route. Meet Sweetchowomine and her husband, a couple who chose to embrace a different lifestyle of dual-income no-kids (DINK) in Singapore.
The Daily Vlog: A Glimpse into Their Lives
Sweetchowomine recently provided a sneak peek into their lives through a 47-second TikTok video. This daily vlog started at the break of dawn as Sweetchowomine headed to her office.
At 10:54 AM, her husband sent her a text, suggesting they have dinner together. However, Sweetchowomine replied much later, stating, “Whoops, I replied five hours later.” It’s important to note that this delay in response doesn’t indicate a lack of interest or affection between them.
Sweetchowomine and her partner are not the type of couple to keep each other updated throughout the day or have daily dinner plans with each other. Instead, they prioritize independence. They believe in letting each other lead their lives independently.
An Evening Out: Dinner at Raffles City Shopping Centre
On the day featured in the TikTok video, the couple decided to have dinner at Raffles City Shopping Centre. They enjoyed their meal and were back home by 10:15 PM.
Sweetchowomine shared that her night routine typically includes a quick wash up, a cup of tea, and some alone time with the TV. Meanwhile, her husband indulges in his own nightly routine with his mobile gaming.
Then at about 11.30pm, they return to their bedroom and quietly use their phone because going to bed.
