Yesterday I was in a crowded food court during lunch time as how it normally is, where everybody is busy squeezing around to get food. There was a lady holding two saucers with Paos on each, she is balancing a saucer on each hand while also walking around to find a table. I slightly bumped into her when we crossed paths, I said sorry and continued walking.
It was a normal slight bump that usually happens on a crowded place, no damage done as far as I can tell as she didn’t get off-balanced, Paos are in place. After a second I turned back as I decided to get food on the stall I just passed, when I turned I see her staring angrily at me not saying anything. I approached her close, looked into her eyes and said sincerely I’m sorry are you ok?
I repeated this about three times as she just kept staring at me angrily without saying anything. After the third I’m sorry I told her you don’t have to be angry I didn’t mean to bump you it is a crowded place, she stayed staring for a few more seconds then walked away.
Now to make myself clear, I do not hate Singapore, I love the country to bits. The above example is likely the only thing I don’t like about the country, it’s an area of improvement.’
