Facebook user Sharul Channa suggested that all women should wear the Singapore flag around their bodies so that if they get molested and/or raped, the culprit “will get a harsher punishment”.

She was referencing the difference in punishment between a man who burned the Singapore flag and got 16 weeks jail, and the NUS student who strangled his girlfriend and only got 2 weeks detention.
She added that she is a Singaporean and she loves her country.
