A 52-year-old woman passed away after being found unconscious in a swimming pool at Keppel Club yesterday evening (5 February) at about 7.50pm.
Suspected to have drowned
She was conveyed unconscious to Singapore General Hospital after the authorities were alerted to the case of suspected drowning.
The woman was subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital.
No foul play suspected
The police confirmed the case, saying that the incident happened at 10 Bukit Chermin Road, The Keppel Club.
Based on the preliminary investigations by the police, they do not suspect foul play.
At the time of writing, investigations into the woman’s death are still ongoing.
Keppel Club has an illustrious history and is one of Singapore’s oldest country clubs. The club has a swimming pool that operates daily from 7 in the morning to 9 at night.
