A Facebook user, Berenice Ong, shared how an Agoda staff member allegedy scolded her mother when she tried to get a refund for her hotel booking.
The staff had allegedly scolded her “p—-g ina mo”.
Here is what she said
PLEASE agoda TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES PROPERLY
He had just insulted my boyfriend with his “putang ina mo”
Refund process –
1) My booking was at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa and i went down to the property straight to get an refund as the room in agoda is not accurate to the actual room. Deluxe room but Family suite bed.
2) Property told me that he will process the refund. (27 may 2022)
3) I called agoda to confirm if my booking will be refunded but they told me that nothing has been done (30 may 2022)
4) I told agoda to settle it with the property as i had already went down all the way to the property to get them process a refund. Agoda said that they will get back to me
5) Gotten a email that said they had contacted the property and said that the property had rejected the refund process. (4th photo)
6) Calling agoda telling them that i had already went down to the property on 27 May 2022 and they said they already process the refund and had already email to agoda. But agoda said they did not receive any email.
7) Went down to the property AGAIN to get them to send the refund email to agoda right away and send us a copy of refund letter (Photo 5) By the way i am not Rita, and i waited 45 mins for him to send a simple email just to catch him on the phone with someone else (slacking??) i don’t know but he definitely looked unprofessional and i can see his tummy exposed. FYI it is a 5 star hotel in sentosa
6) Calling agoda and forward the email Amara had send to me and wanting the refund to be processed right away but getting scolded “Putang ina mo” from the employee called “John”
I am really very disappointed with both Agoda & Amara and will not use their service again.
