Police have arrested a 21 year old woman for dangerous driving, driving under disqualification and driving without the owner’s consent.
On May 28, a Traffic Police officer spotted the female driver cutting across the first lane to the third lane along Tampines Expressway, and then cutting across the chevron markings to turn into Jalan Kayu road, which caused another driver to apply the emergency brake to avoid a collision.
The officer requested for her to pull over but she sped off instead. Furthermore, she went on to commit over violations such as driving against the flow of traffic and almost colliding with oncoming vehicles.
At one point, the female driver began to rev the car engine when the TP officer approached the car. Though initially uncooperative, she eventually exited the car and cooperated with the TP officer.
The car was impounded and the female driver was arrested.
