Today in a job interview I was told that I’m lying in my CV.
This started with them opening the website of a formal job and finding a name I did not mention, and I had to tell them that if they look up that name they will find that this person left that job, and is no longer there, their LinkedIn can show that. They told me that I’m lying about it.
They undermined everything I did, and all my experiences and told me that I’m not trained to do them.
Even though I packed up each and everything in that cv with proper resources and reasons of why i ended up learning x or y. And reasons why a certain job was demanding more than my role.
They ended up telling me that I’m lying about it and that they do not buy my story.
I do not understand it, is that the standard way of interviewing nowadays? Being extremely disrespectful and undermining my skills.
Why do they talk about inclusion if they do not understand that some of us had a different work environment and had to work our way up doing multiple roles..? Or if they would tell me that I’m making up things.
I just needed to vent. I’m not lying or making up things in my cv. I do not need to do so.

You dodged a bullet. Take it as a blessing and walk away. If they can treat you like that when you are NOT an employee, imagine how they will treat you when you are one.
Fix the links and info in your CV and get ready for the next one.
Good luck!
