Scammed by Foodpanda, they lost my food but only offered $1.2 refund…
So I ordered some food, and 2 milk teas in the order was not delivered, other items are here. Those milk teas are priced at $4.1 each so two of them would cost $8.2.
However Foodpand is only willing to offer a refund of 1.2 dollars and I talked to 4 agents without any resolution. They just keep saying this is the best that can do.(???)
I can understand that items included in a meal set may cost a bit less, but $0.6 for a milk tea is kinda ridiculous, right.
And what annoys me the most is they just anyhow come up with a number and that’s it. There’s nothing else we can do. No way to escalate , no reason provide, here is you $1.2 refund, take it or leave it .
What a scammer.
How would you deal with such issues? I know a few dollars aren’t much but I really hate their shady way of doing business.

- I have deleted my account from foodpanda and refuse to use their services. The straw that broke the camels back was when they refused to refund me when the rider ran off with my food. The rider lied to them saying that he contacted me but I didn’t give my unit number (which is impossible cuz I pre config my home in all the delivery apps). It wasn’t until I threaten to go to the authorities did they get a “manager” to get back to me, and even so, they made it sound as if THEY were doing me a favour. That pink panda can go extinct for I care.
- I also dealt with this issue. Driver picked up my food from pastamania at Northpoint. Went mia and never got a refund ever since. This is why I use Grab now.
- I struggle to think of why anyone would still be using food panda. The amount of nonsense I’ve personally seen and heard form them is enough for me to condemn their business practices.
- You need to keep escalating – the on the ground agents read from a script.
Keep escalating until u get the senior manager. If the staff say that there is no manager, ask them if they are the CEO. Only the senior manager will give you a refund.
Remember to mention:
-driver theft
-foodpanda abiding the driver – hence they are also part of the collusion.
-on top of the non delivery, they need to compensate for your time to follow up with their staff not doing their jobs and breaching the contract.
I stopped using foodpanda because they can be exceedingly late for orders due to driver taking 2-3 orders at the same time on top of taking other platform delivery. They even tried to give me vouchers which I rejected as well. Take cash from them only.

I always get full refund from 1st agent (grab, foodpanda, deliveroo). Did you take a picture of items received?
The only time i get partial refund is when the items are part of a set, in which case it is hard to calculate the full price of the item since a set usually have items discounted.
