In a heart-stopping incident on Wednesday (Jul. 19) around 4 pm, a young boy was caught cutting dangerously across a junction along North Buona Vista Road on his kick scooter, narrowly avoiding being hit by an oncoming car.
The incident, which took place along North Buona Vista Road, has since gained attention after footage of the near miss, which was captured on the dashcam of another vehicle that was nearby at the time, was uploaded to SGRV FRONT MAN’s Facebook page.
The Heart-Stopping Moment
Footage of the near miss accident was shared on the SGRV Facebook page. The video shows a young boy confidently riding his kick scooter, attempting to cross the junction diagonally.
As he reaches the middle of the road, he briefly glances to his left and, to his horror, spots a black car approaching at high speed. The driver of the car blasts the horn, alerting the young boy to the imminent danger he faces.
Reacting quickly, the young boy manages to slow down just in the nick of time, avoiding the oncoming car by mere inches.
It’s clear that his quick reflexes and the driver’s swift reaction were the only things preventing a potentially catastrophic collision. The video description aptly states, “This is clearly a miracle he was not hit.”

On 18 July, 2023, Time 15.57, I was travelling on North Buona Vista Road towards AYE. At the junction where MOE Building on left, and Star Vista on right, there was a *secondary school name redacted* boy on scooter, crossing the road.
Next moment, he scooted across the yellow box, and near miss with an oncomng car, travelling from Star Vista towards Metropolis
The boy is small built, and it is not surprising the oncoming car would have missed seeing him. This is clearly a miracle he was not hit. However, I would like to alert the parent of this boy, that someone can alert him of the danger
