A video previously emerged online yesterday showing footage of a teacher at Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart viciously attacking a couple of toddlers while forcing them to drink water.
Following this, the Singapore Police Force has since arrested a 33-year-old woman in connection to the case, and she is expected to be charged in court tomorrow.
However, after the scandal at Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart, a new scandal has since emerged – a teacher allegedly from another branch of the Kinderland Preschool, this time at the Choa Chu Kang Sunshine Place outlet, was caught in a video hitting a boy on the head repeatedly.
Hitting the toddler repeatedly on the head
The netizen who shared the video requested anonymity and said that this isn’t the first time that the teachers had been allegedly mistreating the children there, according to Telegram page SGFollowsAll.
In the video, a woman wearing a blue top and zebra-striped pants could be seen seated while being surrounded by several of the toddlers.
One of the toddlers was a boy with a blue coloured water bottle in his hands, which the woman then forcibly opened as she shouted at the boy in Mandarin to “DRINK!”
The boy then puts his mouth onto the straw of the water bottle to start drinking, before the woman repeatedly hits him on the head as she appears to shoo him away from her.
The boy then staggered away from the woman with his water bottle in hand, and thankfully didn’t appear to be injured as he stared at the woman from afar.
Police and ECDA alerted
Member of Parliament (MP) for Choa Chu Kang, Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, posted about the latest video on his Facebook page and described the incident as being “inhumane, unacceptable and heartbreaking”.
He said that he has since alerted the authorities about the incident, including the Singapore Police Force and the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) about it.
He added that he expects the perpetrators and those negligent enough to allow this (to happen) to face the full force of the law.
