YISHUN MAN SPOTTED USING CANE TO HIT HIS DOG IN PUBLIC AND DRAGGED IT

A netizen who was driving in Yishun managed to capture the footage of a dog owner hitting his dog.

The dashcam showed the man who was on a bicycle and carried a cane with him while dragging the dog.

At the traffic stop, the man could be seen hitting the dog with the cane.

Here is what the witness said:

Saw this Dog owner on 20/07/22, 4.43pm at the traffic junction between Yishun Ave 1 & Yishun St 41. He was holding a long cane beat his dog several times and dragged the dog as he cycled. I really wanna get down the car to save that poor dog. That piece of TRASH really make me feel sick.

Under the Animals and Birds Act, anyone found guilty of animal cruelty can be fined up to $15,000 and/or jailed up to 18 months, or both for the first offence. For second and subsequent offences, the maximum penalty is $30,000 or a jail term of up to 3 years, or both.
