A shocking video has surfaced showing two men engaging in a fierce brawl outside Northpoint City Mall in Yishun, with one of the individuals identified as a foodpanda rider. The footage, posted on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group on July 18, has sparked widespread concern and outrage.
The video, taken from across the road, captures the intense confrontation between the two men, with the foodpanda rider clad in his uniform and the other individual wearing a black shirt. The two men are seen squaring off, bouncing on their heels, and preparing to attack each other.
The altercation escalates, with the foodpanda rider attempting a two-handed lunge, which is blocked by the black shirt man. The rider then delivers a low kick in response, and the scuffle continues briefly before a passer-by intervenes and the view is momentarily obscured by a passing vehicle.
The video then switches to a different angle, showing the two men taking each other down, but the view is once again obstructed by another passing vehicle.
According to the police, they were alerted to a fight along 930 Yishun Avenue 2 on July 16, 2024, at around 6:40 pm. An 18-year-old man sustained minor injuries but refused to be taken to the hospital. The police are currently investigating the incident.
Foodpanda has also launched an investigation into the incident, stating that they do not condone violence in any form and will take appropriate action against any delivery partner found to have engaged in such behavior.
