The group purportedly tricked people into “donating” the money through the sales of postcards.

A probation report was called on Tuesday and he is to be sentenced on November 3.

Each postcard was sold for $10 each and 70% of the amount collected went to the one who carried out the sale, while the remainder was shared evenly among them.

Chia is facing jail of up to 2 years, a fine up $5,000, or both.
