According to a media release, a 20-year-old man has been sentenced to 21 probation for his involvement in taking photos and recording videos of men showering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) campus in 2019.
The accuse was 19 years old when he committed the crime. On the 24 Feb 2019, the accuse went to NTU for a meetup with his friend. Halfway through, the accuse went to the toilet and noticed that there is someone showering in one of the cubicles.
According to the prosecutor, the accuse was curious about how men look like when they shower, he then took out his mobile phone and took some photos and recorded a video of the victim showering.
On the 21 Apr 2019, he has taken photos of another man in the shower at a residences hall of NTU. He was caught red-handed by his friend on the scene and police were alerted.
According to the law, anyone convicted for harassment could be jailed for up to 6 months and fined up to $5,000.
