A secondary school student was allegedly attacked by a school mate with a metal rod.
The incident purportedly happened on 27 September, and the police revealed that they received a call for assistance at around 7.47am on the same day.
The victim was sent to the hospital conscious and is assisting the police with their investigations.
The schoolmate who allegedly attacked him was arrested by the police for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon.
At the time of writing, investigations by the police are underway.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Education said that they are aware of the incident and shared that they are rendering support to those involved.
They also shared that the injured boy has since been discharged from the hospital.
