A 16-year-old male was given 1.5 years probation yesterday (7 May), for filming nude boys in the men’s toilet of Sengkang Sports Centre.
He was 15-years-old at the time of the offences, when he took a total of 58 videos between 22 September to 19 October 2019.
He previously pleaded guilty to 10 charges on 16 March, for making an obscene film under the Films Act.
Another 48 charges were taken into consideration during sentencing.
He is also required to stay indoors from 9pm to 6am, complete 70 hours worth of community service and attend “cognitive behavioral treatment”.
He is also banned from using mobile phones with recording abilities until a psychologist deems him suitable, and he is subject to random checks on his electronic devices.
He cannot be named due to his age.
Caught red handed
the boy was caught red-handed on 19 October 2019, when he was seen pointing his phone towards a boy by the boy’s father, who was making his way to the changin area of the men’s toilet.
The teenager then got scared and hid inside a toilet cubicle.
The victim’s father then asked the staff for assistance and the police were called in.
They then found two iPhones on the teenager, with videos of boys changing and/or coming out of the shower cubicles in various stages of undress.
