A YP was sentenced to 1.5 years probation after he was found guilty of 1 count of criminal intimidation and 4 counts of cheating.
Apparently, the YP has threatened his ex-girlfriend saying that he will post her nudes online and send them to her loves one after their break up. His intention was to get his ex-girlfriend attention instead of being ignored.
In addition, the YP was also charged for cheating for making false transport claim from his employer with forged receipts.
The YP has been together with his ex-girlfriend for a period of 10 months from Feb 2018 to Dec 2018. On 06 Jan 2019, he sends his ex-girlfriend a text message threatening that he will post her nudes online and send them to her family if she continues to ignore him. The photos were taken under the consent of the victim when they were still together.
Without getting any response, the YP then sends her another message threatening to kill her and her family. The victim then made a police report 3 weeks later where the YP was arrested.
In a separate case, the YP has also cheated his employer about $400 in transport claim where he will change the amount indicated on the receipt. A police report was made against him by his manager earlier this year. It is unclear how the forgeries were discovered.
According to the law, adult offenders who are convicted of criminal intimidation could face a jail term up to 2 years and fine. If convicted for cheating, offenders could face a jail term up to 10 years and fine.
