YP ILLEGALLY VAPING, LOOKING AROUND TO MAKE SURE NO ONE WATCHING

A video emerged online showing a YP illegally vaping in public.

He was seen looking around him to make sure that nobody was watching him, before he started vaping.

He was also seen no wearing a mask.

Under section 16(2A) of the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act (TCASA), it is illegal to possess, purchase and use vaporisers in Singapore as of 1 February 2018.

Persons found guilty of this offence can be fined up to $2,000.

Persons caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.
