A 18 year old male has been sentenced to 21 months probation for molesting a girl who is underage as well as throwing his neighbour’s stool down from the 6th floor of a HDB flat.
The probation conditions are that he has stay home from 10pm to 6pm, do 60 hours of community service, and get treated at the Institute of Mental Health’s National Addictions Management Service for his alcoholism.
On top of that he needs to attend treatment for his sexual offending behaviours.
His father has paid bond of $5000 to ensure that he behaves during the probation period.
Here is what happened
It happened two years back when the man was 16, he molested a girl then aged 13 after drinking.
The girl was one of the three invited guests to his friend’s place. The man had 12 to 13 cans of beer before the girl arrived.
The man approached the victim when she was sitting on the bed and pleaded her to have sex with him, subsequently pushing her to the bed and touching her inappropriately all over her body.
The victim refused his advances and ran out of the house.
Here is when he stole a fixie
The man saw a fixie which could fetch a good price outside Bedok’s Decathlon, stole it and rode it home.
Friends of the man told him that this is a good brand and even when sold secondhand could get him a lot of money.
He eventually sold it on Carousell for $750 but was detained by plainclothes police when he met the buyer to transact.
Threw a stool down from HDB
Shortly after the stealing incident, he decided to throw his neighbour’s stool down from the 6th floor after playing truant.
A police report was made against him and he denied initially because he was afraid of getting into trouble.
However, he subsequently admitted to his offence.
